Hello all, we are all doing well in the NUT house. We have been so extremely busy and I just haven't found the time, or made the time, to post recently. Please forgive me....I've just finished going through and downloading over 200 pictures from my camera over the past 2-3 weeks. We've had a lot going on....It may take me a few days/weeks/months/years/whatever... to update you all on everything. To start things off....today we had a FUN day. We made the trek into San Antonio and saw Disney on Ice. It was neat. Boy, those people make a KILLING on all of the snacks and junk they sell...Gee Wiz!!! $10 for a bag of cotton candy!!! Anyway...I have never taken the kids to anything like this before....never to the circus or anything. Don't get me wrong...I've wanted to take them but finances have never permitted it....so this year things are a little better and thanks to a decent tax refund...we are going to be able to do a couple of fun things for the first time EVER as a family. Our next adventure will be our trip to Colorado this summer. We've never done that before!! At least not just me and the kids...OK, so technically it won't be just me and the kids...My sister Perry is renting a big house for several weeks and she has invited us up there to stay for a week. My parents will be going too for a couple of weeks, I think....some of our time will overlap but still...I will be driving with them (little monkeys) all by myself and we'll be staying in a hotel going up and coming back....so I count it as just me taking them. I can't even describe how thankful I am to Perry for inviting us....we are SOOOOO looking forward to it!!! Anyway...this outing today has been a surprise all week. When I told them in the car where we were going....Allie was appropriately excited (she is 5 after all) and Holley and Scott didn't say anything....Macie already knew about it and was looking forward to it. Holley then decided it might be fun...MAYBE... and Scott said in typical Scott fashion, "Isn't that for little kids?". I almost slammed on the breaks and left him on the side of the road! He ended up having fun in spite of himself....Holley too and Allie LOVED it!!! It was fun and I'm glad we did it. Tomorrow is Easter Sunday. The kids are looking forward to seeing what the Easter Bunny brings them. It is supposed to be stormy here in the early morning so I guess the Easter Bunny better figure out where to hide the eggs IN the house.... It was really cute today....Scott, Allie and I were at the gym (yes, I'm still going, SHOCKING I know), and Parviz (the owner and our trainer) said "Happy Easter, and don't forget to do as much cardio as you can. I hope the Easter Bunny comes to visit you." Allie turned to him and sweetly said, "Easter REALLY is all about Jesus dying on the cross and then rising again so that we can go to heaven." I'm so glad that she "gets it" at 5 years old. Here are some pics from today....Take care, Stay tuned, Love,S
